Phenylethanol is a food flavoring, also known as ethyl phenylethanol and β-phenylethanol.
It exists naturally in aromatic oils such as orange blossom oil, rose oil, and geranium oil. It is widely used in various food flavors and tobacco flavors because of its soft, pleasant and lasting rose aroma. It is an additive for preparing rose-flavored food and the main raw material for rose-flavored flavors.
It is stable to alkali and is widely used in soap flavors. It is an indispensable flavor for blending all rose-flavored series flavors.
Because it is insoluble in water, it is often used in lotions and soaps. In addition, it is also used in the blending of orange blossom, purple fragrance and other flavors.
Because phenylethanol has good antibacterial properties, it can be used in eye drops solution.
