Application:Cyclamen aldehyde is a permitted edible flavor in GB2760-96. Cyclamen aldehyde is mainly used to prepare fruit flavors such as melons and citrus. Cyclamen aldehyde has a fragrance similar to that of cyclamen and lily, has little irritation to the skin, and is stable in alkali. It is used to prepare floral daily flavors. The lowest-grade cyclamen aldehyde is used in soap and detergent formulations, while the higher-grade cyclamen aldehyde is used in perfumes and flavors. Lily aldehyde has a tendency to replace cyclamen aldehyde.Cyperaldehyde is a food flavoring permitted by my country’s “Food Additives Hygiene Standards” and can be used to prepare melon and citrus flavors. The usage in baked food is 1.2 mg/kg; in candy 0.99 mg/kg; in cold drinks 0.45 mg/kg; in soft drinks 0.3 mg/kg.
