The product is a dark green viscous substance that is easily soluble in water and various organic solvents. Under neutral or alkaline conditions, the color tone is stable green. Chlorophyll is used to color soaps, mineral oils, waxes, and essential oils. Chlorophyll or chlorophyllin derivatives, such as copper chlorophyllin [11006-34-1], sodium iron chlorophyllin, and sodium copper chlorophyllin, are used as colorants and deodorants in food, candy, beverages, toothpaste, etc. Chlorophyllin derivatives can be used together with fungicides such as Chlorhexidine and Halocaban as a formula for odor-removing cosmetics.
