Chitosan is made from chitin, which is insoluble in water, soluble in dilute acid and can be absorbed by human body. Chitosan is a primary derivative of chitin. Its chemical structure is a high molecular alkaline polysaccharide polymer with cation, and it has unique physical and chemical properties and biological activation function.
chitosan (chitosan) is obtained by deacetylation of chitin, which is widely existed in nature. The chemical name is polyglucosamine (1-4) -2-amino-B-D glucose. Since 1859, chitosan was first obtained by Rouget in France. The excellent properties of this natural polymer such as biofunctionality and compatibility, blood compatibility, safety and microbial degradability have been widely concerned by all walks of life, and great progress has been made in applied research in many fields such as medicine, food, chemical industry, cosmetics, water treatment, metal extraction and recovery, biochemistry and biomedical engineering. For patients, the effect of chitosan on lowering blood lipid and blood sugar has been reported.
