ANOECTOCHILUS ROXBURGHII EXTRACT

Applications:Anoectochilus roxburghii is a terrestrial perennial herb of the genus Orchidaceae. Modern research has found that Anoectochilus roxburghii is rich in a variety of biologically active ingredients, including polysaccharides, taurine, cardiac glycosides, esters, alkaloids, steroids, various amino acids, trace elements, etc. As a natural product, there are few studies on the application of Anoectochilus roxburghii extract in the field of cosmetics at home and abroad. Based on this, this project studies the biological activity of Anoectochilus roxburghii and its application in cosmetics. 1. Antioxidant activity Free radicals are harmful substances produced in the body’s oxidation reactions. Excessive free radicals will react with certain biological macromolecules in the body, such as proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, etc., thereby affecting the normal metabolism of cellular substances and energy, leading to cell necrosis or mutation, which is one of the important causes of skin aging.Therefore, the use of antioxidant substances to reduce the harm caused by free radicals is of great significance for delaying aging and keeping the skin young. Studies have shown that golden thread lotus extract has a significant scavenging effect on hydroxyl free radicals, DPPH free radicals, and ABTS free radicals, and is an effective natural antioxidant.2. Whitening activity Melanin is one of the most widely distributed pigments in nature. It is also the main determinant of human skin, hair and eye color, and plays an important role in human skin homeostasis. When melanin is synthesized in large quantities or distributed unevenly, it will cause the skin to darken or form spots, affecting the appearance. Studies have found that golden thread lotus can inhibit the activity of mouse melanoma cells (B16F10), and has a certain inhibitory effect on the activity of tyrosinase, a key enzyme in melanin synthesis, which can reduce the production of melanin and can be used in the development of whitening and spot-lightening cosmetics. 3. Anti-allergic soothing activity Bad skin care habits can lead to skin sensitivity and excessive skin stress. Golden thread lotus has good anti-allergic soothing effects, which can relieve inflammation, calm the skin, and keep the skin in good condition.
