Introduction: Taurine, also known as β-aminoethanesulfonic acid, was first isolated from bezoar, hence the name. It is colorless or white oblique crystals, odorless, chemically stable, soluble in organic solvents such as ether, and is a sulfur-containing non-protein amino acid that exists in the body in a free state and does not participate in the biosynthesis of proteins in the body. Although taurine does not participate in protein synthesis, it is closely related to the metabolism of cystine and cysteine.
Application:It is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, food industry, detergent industry and production of fluorescent whitening agents. It is also used in other organic synthesis and biochemical reagents. It is suitable for colds, fever, neuralgia, tonsillitis, bronchitis, etc.
